NOT JUST A KID FROM BROOKLYN

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Steven never gave acting a thought. As long as he could remember, he leaned more into music and loved clowning around with his friends. As a kid, who would dress up as his favorite movie characters and demanded to be called by their name -- not "Steven."

Steven would stick out like a sore thumb (usually due to his choice of wardrobe by constantly dressing up as his favorite characters) and his teachers would encourage him to perform his over-exaggerated versions of his favorite pop personalities. Naturally, Steven thought he would get voted "Most Weird" or "Class Goofball," but to his surprise, he won "Best Looking" in his high school.

In college, Steven decided to focus on music. One day, while sitting on the library steps on campus, a guidance counselor advised him to take a drama class. The rest, as they say, is history!

Steven never really took his acting class seriously, which earned him the the nickname of "The Anti-Actor" among his peers , which stuck to this day. He would go on to win "Best in Show" in the class showcase. The Director for IFC’s “The Whitest Kids U’ Know” saw him in the showcase and referred him to acting classes in the city, where he would find his first manager and agent.

Shortly after, he would land the role of "Smooth Move Ferguson" in the hit NBC show 30 Rock. Steven says nothing truly prepared him for being on set until he was actually, well, on set. “Walking on set was so surreal. I was alongside people I only saw on TV! I couldn’t help but geek out about the entire situation.” At the age of 21, he was the youngest person on set. The cast of 30 Rock took notice of that and showed him the ropes. “Tracy and Tina where the best, they guided me the entire way and made me feel welcomed. I learned so much from them.”

Besides acting, Steven plays the guitar as a nod to his first love, music. He is also known for his Halloween costumes, which he looks forward to making every year and does his own makeup. “I love Halloween! It’s my favorite holiday. I guess it’s the actor in me who loves to dress up and become someone else. I get bored of being me.” Steven has won best costume in several Halloween costume competitions in New York City.

Recently last year, Steven was invited to a casting call to model and walk at the first ever Stylist Fashion show for NYFW Fall 23. Not only was he cast to be a model, but he was one of the two models in the entire show selected by all three celebrity stylists. He walked 6 times in one show. Did we mention this was his debut? He made such an impact that he was featured in multiple media outlets covering the show. This drew the attention of Goodday New York channel 5 News and was invited to come on the TV show to walk for a segment by Rosanna Scotto. Since then, he was invited to walk in the first ever S.F.S Atlanta show and has been featured in brands like OSAY the label and equalhumans.
